3T FEAT.MICHAEL JACKSON - WHY

JAPAN 3'' SNAP-PACK SINGLE

EPIC/SONY ESDA 7174

"Why does Monday come before Tuesday
Why do summers start in June
Why do winters come too soon
Why do people fall in love
When they're always breaking up, oh why

Why do I love you, tell me why

It's not like I can explain what's in my heart
It's just I feel a crazy pain with we're apart
I don't want to breathe
I don't want to think
I don't want to love
I don't want to do anything

It's not like I can't describe what's going on
It's just I feel I'm not alive when your not home
I don't want to sleep
I don't want to be
I just want you here beside meWithout you there's no me..."

MAKING MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER
JAPAN VHS
VESTRON VIDEO INTERNATIONAL

In conjuction with a similar post you can now watch searching The Michael Jackson Showroom on Facebook, here it is another hard to find japanese release. It's the "Making Michael Jackson's Thriller" on VHS, released in early 1984, with an artwork slightly different from the common european and american releases.

Paying tribute to another "summer classics" for me...

WHO IS IT

JAPAN CD SINGLE

EPIC/SONY ESCA 5652

"...I gave her money

I gave her time

I gave her everything

Inside one heart could find

I gave her passion

My very soul

I gave her promises

And secrets so untold

And she promised me forever

And a day we'd live as one

We made our vows

We'd live a life anew

And she promised me in secret

That she'd love me for all the time

It's a promise so untrue

Tell me what will I do?

And it doesn't seem to matter

And it doesn't seem right

'Cause the will has brought

No fortune

Still I cry alone at night

Don't you judge of my composure

'Cause I'm lying to myself

And the reason why she left me

Did she find someone else?..."

THE JACKSONS ANTHOLOGY

PROMO 2 X LP EPIC/SONY QY 3P-90072/3

Wow! I decided to put in this post an "all-in" of rare presses from Japan. I guess they don't need any description, we, the collectors, all know what we're talking about. Each record in these pictures is a "must-have" for us. Personally the one I love the most is "Best for you", an exclusive 12'' dedicated entirely to Michael. The Jacksons Anthology have a spectacular tracklist, including both tracks from Jacksons' discography and Michael solo career, until 1984. This was released as a promotional copy, and never distributed to the shops. The Leader of the 80's is a compilation album (I consider this a 12'' single, more than an lp) and includes 4 non-stop megamixes - one side dedicated to MJ, the flip side to the Jacksons. Exclusive content for an exclusive, astonishing, japanese release.

BLACK OR WHITE

JAPAN PROMO CD SINGLE

EPIC/SONY QY.8P-90093

Well, here it is another masterpiece from Japan, and another promotional copy; it's the "Black or white - The remixes" sampler cd, released in 1991 just a few weeks after the "dangerous" album launch in November. Housed in a black and white chequer board style title picture sleeve, this cd contains 5 tracks, basically all the Clivilles & Cole remixes of the track.

Let me pay my first tribute to the soundtrack of one of my best holiday-time, back in 1992. That was the year I could see Michael live on Dangerous tour (Stadio Flaminio, July 4th) and "In the closet" was EVERYDAY on the air during my August holiday, including its remixes ("Club mix", "Underground mix" and "The promise" among the others).

A lot of good memories I have with this song, carefree days with friends, a new love at the time, sea, sun. Everytime one of that remixes play on my Hi-Fi, or in my i-pod, well... it's a celebration of that times.

THRILLER

JAPAN PROMO 12'' SINGLE

EPIC/SONY ES 12-3P-402

Here you can see a rare promotional copy of the "Thriller" 12'' single released in Japan.

Like some other promotional copies, this is quite similar to the commercial release ; the only differences are the little writing on the labels (stating it's a "promo" in Japan), and the "SAMPLE" sticker on the back.

Anyway, it's not a so rare record, but these promos are not easy to find.
