THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL

PHILIPPINES 12'' DANCE MIX

EPIC/CBS CE-EP18111

"Go on girl!

Hey pretty baby with the high heels on
You give me fever
Like I've never, ever known
You're just a product of loveliness
I like the groove of your walk,
Your talk, your dress
I feel your fever
From miles around
I'll pick you up in my car
And we'll paint the town
Just kiss me baby
And tell me twice
That you're the one for me

The way you make me feel
(The way you make me feel)
You really turn me on
(You really turn me on)
You knock me off of my feet
(You knock me off of my feet)
My lonely days are gone
(My lonely days are gone)..."

BAD PHILIPPINES LP

EPIC/CBS QEL 25167

Shamon! Another Philippines lp deserves the "Record of the week" post...and this time is "Bad"; This is, infact, a very hard-to-find release, with several minor details and logos on both the front and the back sleeve you can easily see to recognize it from the other releases. For example:the "Epic" logo on the front sleeve, right side, near the "N" of "Jackson". Or the catalogue number on the left side, down under. And waht about the "PARI Aprroved" symbol on the back sleeve? This "PARI" rounded symbol is basically on EVERY Philippine reissue (just like the FBI logo on the US releases, or the SIAE sticker here in Italy). The catalogue number is unique, and you can see it impressed also on the labels.

PHILIPPINES 12'' DANCE REMIXES

EPIC/SONY QELEP-18296

"One thing in life you must understand

The truth of lust woman to man

So open the door, and you will see

There are no secrets

Make your move, set me free

Because there's something about you baby

That makes me want to give it to you

I swear there's something about you baby

Just promise me, whatever we say

Whatever we do to each other

For now we take a vow to just

Keep it in the closet..."

THE JACKSONS - STATE OF SHOCK

PHILIPPINES 12'' MAXI SINGLE

EPIC/CBS CE-EP-18008

This is not a common release, and certainly must be allocated among the rarest from the Jacksons 12''s. "State of shock" was a duet intended for Michael and Freddie Mercury voices (a demo version was leaked on the web several years ago). but then,it was released with Mick Jagger singing on it.
This Philippines release comes in a generic Epic/Cbs stickered sleeve, stating "made from the original CBS masters". The sticker on front sleeve shows the content of the 12'' single:the "Dance mix" (5'44'' long with additional ad-libs vocals) backed with the "Instrumental version".

A similar version for "Billie Jean" have been released in the Philippines, and you'll see it soon on one of the next posts...

KING OF POP - PHILIPPINES EDITION

EPIC/SONY LEGACY 88697356442 4

A record-shops tour in Manila could bring a Philippines only edition of "King of Pop" cd. And you can take this particular cd to a trip to Palawan, on a sunny beach in your earphones.

The "King of pop" collection released in the Philippines, is a double cd including an unique tracklist featuring the classic greatest hits, as well as some gems:here you can find "Got the hots", "Wanna be startin'somehtin'2008" featuring Akon, "Say say say" with Paul McCartney as well as "Blame it on the boogie", released on the Jacksons' album "Destiny". Several "king of Pop" editions miss these tracks, so the Philippines selection is a must.have for all the MJ collectors!

THRILLER

PHILIPPINES LP

EPIC/CBS OCL22001

Today, the Showroom's flight lands to Philippines!

The special posts focused on a selected country begins today! So, the next 2 weeks will be dedicated to the Philippines presses, and the chosen one to open this parade is "Thriller" the album, released with a particular black sticker on front stating that is "The winner of 8 Grammy Awards including BEAT IT - Record of the year and THRILLER - Album of the year". The unique orange labels have a CBS logo pressed on it, and the catalogue number for this release is totally different from the other releases.

LEAVE ME ALONE
Leave me alone Brazil 12'' single (MIX)
Epic ("Superespecial")/CBS 64 00316/653501

"I don't care what you talkin' 'bout baby
I don't care what you say
Don't you come walkin' beggin' back mama
I don't care anyway
Dime after dime, I gave you all of my money
No excuses to make
Ain't no mountain that I can't climb baby
All is going my way
'Cause there's a time when you're right
And you know you must fight
Who's laughing baby, don't you know
And there's the choice that we make
And this choice you will take
Who's laughin' baby?..."
