VISIONARY : THE VIDEO SINGLES is a box containing a series of 20 Michael Jackson's most famous and successfull hit singles, from 1978 to 1997. It was released in Europe between February 20, 2006 and June 26, 2006 by Epic Records/Legacy recordings and then released in North America as a complete boxset on November 14, 2006.
The limited edition cover artwork for the box set is a photomosaic using images from Jackson's career.
Each single contains two different audio versions of the title song, and its originally released video clip.
In Europe, the first single release ("Thriller") was released inside the empty box, ready to contain all the forthcoming (at the time) dual-discs, then the following dual-discs had a monthly release in group of 3 each time.
In UK, the first release contained 5 dual disc inside the box, and the following dual-discs (released one-by-one) hit the shelves every 2 weeks. In USA, plans for the individual releases of the Dual-Discs turned in a straight full boxset distribution in November.
Apparently, the US boxset contain the same presses distributed in EU.
