I showed you some months ago some irish pressings from the THRILLER era, very similar to the UK releases - with exaclty the same picture sleeve, but with some visible differences on labels. Well, it's the same story for several "BAD" era releases, and here you can see one, just arrived in the Showroom:"Dirty Diana". This 7'' comes with the UK regular sleeve, same catalogue number but as you can see the labels are completely different. These irish presses are very hard to find nowadays, even more because they're hidden in a common UK picture sleeve. I suggest you to check all the UK 7'' you have in hand to reveal if you own an UK release or an irish one, and always do the same in record fairs! You might find a treasure and pay for it very few dimes!!!

It's time for new items coming in the Showroom, and this goes straightly to the "record of the week" post of this page. It's a promotional copy of the BEN 7'' released in Mexico, with an unique "blue coloured rat sleeve" artwork gatefold jacket, and a white label record inside. I thought this was a kind of promotional copy, because of its label and its back, with a special advert to the movie "Ben" and the "Multicinemas" logo, but it's not; I guess it's just a rare commercial copy, one of a few released with picture sleeves in Mexico at the time. B-side of the record contains "You can cry on my shoulder", another track taken from the Michael Jackson's 1972 album "Ben".

Wow...how many memories in this post...this is the FIRST boxset I've ever owned. My grandfather purchased this for me when I was 15, and I remember this "Tour souvenir pack" was truly a treasure in my hands...I loved the picture cds inside, and I still love the wonderful artwork sleeve. I have to say it; this won't be the rarest item in my collection, but certainly, it has 1000 lovely meanings I'll never forget, and in my heart remains one of the most important items I have.

Every collectors has at least one "HIStorycal" item. ...And certainly each one of you is thinkin' about that old record you still carry in your heart...a gift from your mother, or the first record you owned when you were just a young guy...or your first purchase in a record shop...every collector have one or some "specials" items in his mind...as the "Tour souvenir pack" is for me, and the Showroom.
