Haaappy happy Halloween!!! Halloween! Halloween!!!! Let's celebrate the Jack'O'Lantern holiday with the french only "Ghosts" laserdisc! It includes the full short movie (around 38 minutes), and it is -nowadays - the only digital fromat available for this Michael Jackson masterpiece. We're still waiting a new release, and maybe a 3-D adaption but...until then...tonight we'll keep on rockin'the chairs, and making creack behind the walls, and thumpin' in the floor, leaving blood upon the stairs....

Here it is a nice new record for the Showroom collection:a 2018 reissue of the Jackson 5's "Moving violation" album, originally released in 1975.

Some collectors already knew about this coloured vinyl repress, and I can say that the pale yellow variant is amazing;hopefully this is the first in a series of coloured vinyl re-releases of the Jackson 5 entire catalogue.

Anyway, I really don't know why they started from the album with less appeal in their discography; apart "Forever came today" and "All I do is think of you", this record is interesting as a collector item, but musically is anything but unforgettable.

Another one! Another "Dangerous" official picture disc, and this time the Showroom is proud to add the version with NO MUSIC on it. This is a mexican only DISPLAY picture disc, released by Sony music Mexico in 1991, exclusively for the record shops advertising of the forthcoming (at the time) "Dangerous" release.

You can see the little hole (PICTURE 3) on top to allow the shops to hang it on the wall.

It's incredible how I looked for this dummy for ages, just to find it a few weeks after the official reissue by Sony for the Diamond Celebration. This is the 3rd official picture disc in the Showroom, following the well-known sampler masterpiece that sounds the music of Richard Clayderman.

Here they are 2 different "State of shock" italian-only releases. The first one, and obviously the rarest and the most interesting, is the promotional jukebox only release, with a white label, a classic picture sleeve with a large hole in the middle, and the JB strip with titles of both sides of the record. Beware:the B-Side of this release is a song from deniece Williams, "Let's hear it for the boys".

The commercial record, has a dark blue label, and the flip side contains "Your ways", another track from the Jacksons.

When Michael signed a new deal with Pepsi, for the new "Bad world tour", Epic Records in conjuction with Pepsi itself started a massive advert campaign to promote the tour. The record you see in the pictures is a promotional only edition of The way you make me feel 12'', with an amazing gatefold cover showing the same BAD album artwork on front and an advert plan on the back. When you open the record, a brief Pepsi story salutes Tina Turner (the previous star sponsored) and Michael as the new icon on tour.

The record inside, is a common The way you make me feel dutch press. A common record became, with this artwork, an uncommon release, isn't it?

By the way, this "Pepsi Prasentiert" record is hard-to-find nowadays, and it deserves its place of "Record of the week"!

Et voilà! Today we have a special "record of the week":it's a France only promotional 12'' (as you can see on the labels, it's a "tirage limité reservé à la promotion") that's just 1 of the 2 "titres enchainès" editions launched for promotion in France in the middle of the 80's, between "Thriller" and "Bad". This 12'' contains Billie Jean and Beat it, same titles on both sides, and it's really a must-have for any collector!

And finally, "Fareweel my summer love" got its re-release with its original 1984 artwork. This cd was NEVER released with the original picture sleeve; we've had only a german release with a totally different picture sleeve - a rare cd to own nowadays - but, 34 years after its original release, here it is:from Motown/Universal, the reissue of this wonderful album. It's chaep and beautiful, so grab it before it's too late!
