MJ AIR plane take us today in Japan, with a storm of stunning items to watch among the next 2 weeks.

The first of this selection, is "The Hidstory of Michael Jackson", a promotional only sampler album, released in Japan in 1991; The project of a greatest hits album, infact, was on fire in 1989 with the previewed release of "Decade" (a double lp with some unreleased songs), and was still alive in 1991 with these cds but when "Dangerous" was almost completed, the project changed (obviously). The grestest hits album concept then was reprised in 1995 with the release of "HIStory past present and future Book I" as we all know.

This japanese cd comes with a particular blue velvet digipack case, numbered on front (this copy is #0914); inside the digicase, you can find a booklet picture sleeve insert with several pictures and the cd, of course, which includes 17 tracks, from the Jacksons era, Off the wall, Thriller and Bad. It also includes a medley live (Taken from the album "Jacksons live").

This is truly an amazing cd, very rare, a nice addition to any collection.

Our journey in Brazil, today, is dedicated to the Jacksons. 

Here it is a rare copy of "The Jacksons" self titled album. This is a kind of a reissue released in the early 90's, as you can see from the graphic on the back cover looking similar to several "BAD" brazilian cds.

Catalogue number, of course, is totally different from the other issues, and recalls the typical country's presses from that years. 

Also, the front sleeve looks a little bit discoloured, clearly example of a poor pressing at the time.

Jacksons' early cd presses from Brazil are very hard to find, so...here it is one!

The chosen one of this upcoming second week in Brazil is the "Remember the time" maxi cd single, released in 1992 in a regular case like the US press. Same tracklist here of the USA release, but different catalogue number and barcode.

This cd single is very rare nowadays...what makes even rarer is that the copy lying in the Showroom is still sealed!!!

And here it is an exclusive release for the brazilian market; this is an unique "Greatest hits" album, officially licensed by Motown, including 11 tracks among the most famous Jackson 5 songs.

Personally, I don't like that picture sleeve with the Jackson brothers painted like that. But sometimes, a collector have to keep the eyes closed, and think that the record, even if it's not that good to see, is rare. And rare, here, means "must-have".

Well, this is a gem I still miss in my collection, but what a beauty! This is a promotional brazilian only cd, including Scream and Childhood. Totally official, even though the sleeve shows only an enlargement of the red "HIStory" album sky. We fly this week to Brazil, to take a look inside the wonderful releases of this country. We start with a double record of the week, a 2 "You are not alone" cd-singles set. In Europe and USA, part I was released with a red sleeve variant, and part 2 (The remixes) with the same sleeve but with a blue tone. In Brazil the colours are different:part 1 is blue (!), and part 2 (The remixes) is clear red. Just to make more confusion, the back sleeve of the blue is red...and the back of the blue is green! You have to take a look at the pictures to see what I'm talking about. Anyway, here we are in Rio. Let's go on with our 2 weeks trip throughout the country...

All the Bad era maxi singles released in the Philippines, comes with a generic sleeve (the most of the times in clear blue, like the one you see in the picture) with a big sticker showing the commercial sleeve of the record. With the "Dangerous" singles, the "Modus-operandi" remains the same, but the generic sleeve is orange; You've seen an example with the "In the closet" single posted last week.
