USA PROMO FOLDER SET

Here it is, another wonderful piece that made Michael's HIStory: this is an A4 booklet of 10 pages, released by Pepsi, and it's indeed a little folder which contains a 7'' with the Billie Jean pepsi version. The record contains 2 versions of the song (with different lyrics from the original adapted for the Pepsi adverts), and it has a blank B-side.
The booklet contains Pepsi adverts campaign infos, as well as several images from the spot featuring Michael and the Jacksons.
I love EVERYTHING concerning that era, it reminds when I was a child...I love 80's - and even though the "Bad" era is my favourite, the Pepsi version of Michael's greatest hit will always remain in my heart as a "big picture" of the whole decade.

Not 1, but 5 cds were chosen to represent the sunday's "Record of the week" post : the whole set comes from Taiwan, with all 5 colours (grey,blue,orange,green,red) and their exclusive "wrap-around" obies. Catalogue number is the same for all the 5 releases.

SMOOTH CRIMINAL
COLOMBIA EPIC PML175-88

This is a rare press of "Smooth criminal" released in Colombia (!). Altough it has a generic sleeve used for several companies (among them Epic, Cbs, Emi, Capitol & Walt Disney!), it was made to be matching with the record, as it reports on both sides the artist name and the title. This is very uncommon, and it's the only 12'' released in Colombia during the BAD era (or at least, I don't remember any other one).

There's a new item today in the Showroom. It's a rare japanese version of the "HIStory Video Greatest Hits", released with a picture slipcase. This copy is totally sealed with a japanese sticker on the front sleeve shrink; that's why is even harder to find.

The record chosen this week is a rare - and obscure - australian version for the single Scream. Curiously, the most common cd-single release is the one with the artwork of a limited edition - totally different from the european and the american releases.
The rarest is this one, with the same artwork issued worldwide.
The writing "volume I" on front sleeve, makes this aussie cd easily recognizable from the others.
I really don't know why Sony Music Australia did 2 different releases with the same content and the same catalogue numbers. I think that the "classic" artwork version could be a reissue, because the first presses went sold out but...it look like a non-sense.
I didn't know about the existance of a second "Scream" single until last year. It took almost a 12-months research to get a copy of the second version you see in the first picture.
By the way, these aussie cds are the only "Scream" singles to have the "Clean album version".
